What is the Homeowner Verification Code?

The Homeowner Verification Code is a security feature that ensures only the property owner can confirm a contractor has started work on their project.

When to use it: When your contractor arrives to begin work, they'll ask you for your verification code. This code releases the first milestone payment and officially marks the project as started.

Where to find it: You can find your verification code in Settings under the "Homeowner Code" tab. Each project has a unique code that changes after use.

How does payment protection work?

Your payment is held securely until you approve each milestone. The contractor only receives payment after you verify the work is complete to your satisfaction.

Can I switch between Homeowner and Contractor views?

Yes! If you're both a homeowner and contractor, you can easily switch between views in Settings under the "Account" tab. This lets you post projects when you need help and bid on projects when you can help others.
